The Indian folk painting –‘Patrachitra’ depicts a scene from the village. People following different vocations are illustrated in this work of art. One can easily identify the ware sellers, soldiers, metal smiths, musicians, dancers etc. On the bottom panels the view of the countryside road with an entourage, a four vehicle, a bullock cart and a marching elephant is beautifully illustrated.

The handmade painting on cloth also carries the figures of animals like peacock, birds, snakes, and few wild animals. The painting is in natural colors of red, yellow, green and black is apt to decorate the walls of the home and office.
