Ganesha is the elephant headed Indian deity loved and worshipped by millions of people all over the world. He is the God of Good Luck and auspiciousness and is the dispeller of problems and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the God of wisdom, wealth, health, celibacy, fertility and happiness. The form of Ganesha and his embellishments symbolise all that He stands for. His four arms symbolise His control over the four elements of the universe, as also the four Vedas (Hindu Scripture). The goads propel human race forward and the manuscript stands for divine knowledge and wisdom. The mouse is Ganesha’s vehicle or Vahan and it epitomises material prosperity.
