The artisan use specialized knives called ‘rapis’ to cut the soles and uppers, which are stitched with thick cotton thread. The sole to the insole is pasted and the upper one is embroidered with floral and mango motifs.
Besides this, the kopis and minakari on leatherwork from Bikaner are the other specialties of the state.
