About Ganesha

Ganesha is one of the most widely worshipped Hindu Gods. His is the son of Shiva and Parvati. He wears a snake as an ornament around his belly and is depicted in a seated, standing or dancing posture. Generally, considered as a bachelor he is represented as a bestower of two Shaktis- Siddhi and Buddhi. It is considered auspicious to worship him at the start of any action or venture.
