Kerala on the very southern tip of India came into limelight with regard to crafts when polished mirror were greatly appreciated by the Britishers.

It is a small village of Kerala and is famous for its mirrors, made out of polished metal. These mirrors are made from an alloy of copper and tin. It is a lengthy process and requires around six months to complete, during which the alloy is repeatedly polished.
